Great Unity Ship to visit Truong Sa islanders
(VOVWORLD) - A special ship called "Great Unity" carrying 100 representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, ethnic groups, religions, and organizations at home and abroad will visit the soldiers and people of Truong Sa (Spratly) island district and DKI Platform, late next month, an official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Monday.

Vice Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Manh Dong informed reporters of activities for overseas Vietnamese in the second quarter of 2025, at a press conference in Hanoi.
Overseas Vietnamese are scheduled to visit and present gifts to Truong Sa islanders, attend the memorial service for heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands, plant trees, place statues or stone stele, and involve in art exchange programs with islanders. Activities will culminate in attending the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the south and national reunification (April 30) in Ho Chi Minh City.
The State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese and the Navy has recently co-organized trips to Truong Sa island district and DKI platform for Overseas Vietnamese, spreading love for the homeland and raising awareness of protecting the sovereignty of sea and islands among the Vietnamese expats’ community.
