(VOVworld) - Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and visiting Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi have agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

During his meeting with Mr. Yang on Tuesday. Mr. Najib spoke highly of the importance of bilateral ties between Malaysia and China, saying that their relationship is a good example of enhancing bilateral ties through exchanges between leaders, increasing mutual trust, and fruitful economic and cultural cooperation. Malaysia is willing to expand its long-term cooperation with China and continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, finance, and tourism. Mr. Yang said relations between China and Malaysia have been developing rapidly and comprehensively in recent years, adding that the two sides’ leaders held a range of important talks last year. Yang said China appreciates its ties with Malaysia, and is ready to work with Malaysia to fulfill their agreements.
