The Malaysian Transport Ministry reports that to date about 1,130 staffers and 57 equipment have been used in the search rescue campaign.

Apart from Malaysia, Indonesia has received support from Singapore and Australia in the move. Many others including the UK, RoK, China, India, and the US have offered assistance. The U.S. Navy is sending USS Sampson to aid in the search for a missing AirAsia passenger jet.
