Revenues increased nearly 16% while spending was about 48% of the 2014 estimate. The Ministry will continue to tighten fiscal policies, promote frugality, control market prices, hasten economic restructuring, revise the growth model, and step up inspections to reduce corruption and wastefulness.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh said that complications in the world economy and China’s illegal placement of an oilrig in Vietnamese waters had affected domestic business production. He asked the financial sector to coordinate fiscal policies to help the government achieve this year’s socio-economic growth target.
