Musician Tran Tien honored with 2025 Bui Xuan Phai Award
(VOVWORLD) -The 18th Bui Xuan Phai– For the Love of Hanoi Award ceremony took place on Friday in Hanoi. The Grand Prize was awarded to celebrated musician Tran Tien, known for his creativity and deep cultural resonance.

In Tran Tien’s compositions, Hanoi is not only the capital but also a repository of childhood memories, folk traditions, daily street life, and the landscapes of the Doai region.
Music researcher Nguyen Quang Long said the songwriter’s works reflect a “cultural triangle”: the Red River, the Old Quarter, and the Doai region—three spaces that shape Hanoi’s image in his music.

In addition to the Grand Prize, four other awards were presented across three categories, including two Works Awards presented to painter Pham Minh Chuong's 20-year series “Going Down the Street” and to the the musical play “Fire from the Earth” by the Vietnam Youth Theatre.
