NA Chairman pays Tet visits to Tra Vinh province

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man on Saturday visited and presented New Year gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor households, ethnic minorities, and soldiers at My Long border guard station in My Long commune, Cau Ngang district, Tra Vinh province.

Chairman Man acknowledged the achievements of Tra Vinh province, especially My Long Border Guard Station in socio-economic development, national defense and security, and political system building over the past years.

Mr. Man said 2025 is a year of special significance, marked by many national celebrations. He called on Tra Vinh province to strive for the successful implementation of the resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress and to achieve the targets set out in the five-year socio-economic development plan in the 2021-2025 period.

He urged My Long Border Guard Station to strengthen coordination with local authorities and social organizations to strengthen bonds with the people, and address their concerns. He encouraged policy beneficiary families, and poor households to overcome difficulties.

Mr. Man said:  “Policy beneficiary families and poor households should continue striving to escape poverty by actively engaging in production, and business to improve their material and spiritual lives."

"By 2025, Vietnam aims to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in line with the government’s directive and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee. The government has launched several programs on economic development in ethnic minority areas and new rural development to improve the living conditions of policy beneficiaries and the poor,” said the National Assembly Chairman.
