(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the 2024 year-end meeting of Vietnam Television, VTV, on Saturday.

While acknowledging VTV’s contributions to national socio-economic development, the PM asked VTV to adopt new mindset and strategic vision to diversify its products to make VTV the leading television station in the region and the world.
The Prime Minister asked VTV to promote multimedia communication to effectively serve as the bridge between the Party, the State, and the people. VTV should focus on policy communication and external relations information, involve in protecting national sovereignty in information, and spread positive information about Vietnam to the world to enhance national image and position.
“2025 holds great significance for VTV, as it marks the 55th anniversary of VTV”s first broadcast and the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day. I believe that VTV will continue to innovate, grow, and make valuable contributions to the nation's development and defense. It will always be the lasting source of cultural inspiration for the Vietnamese people, both at home and abroad.”
