The Group is operating the 3.4 GW Thang Long Wind offshore power project and the 2GW Thang Long Wind 2 hydrogen production project in the central province of Binh Thuan. It hopes these projects will make Vietnam one of Asia’s leading countries in wind power.

Hatton told NA Chairman Hue that he believes the Group’s projects in Vietnam will be successful, helping Vietnam honor its commitments made at the 26th United Nations Conference on Climate Change. He reiterated willingness to share renewable energy technology with Vietnam.

Chairman Hue said that as Vietnam is on a roadmap to increase the proportion of renewable electricity such as wind power and solar power in its total energy supply, the Group transfers research and new technologies such as wind power skills or building a renewable energy ecosystem for Vietnam.

He welcomed the Group’s investment in the 500KV transmission line with specific requirements, adding the National Assembly of Vietnam is reviewing the Electricity Law in the next few years.
