NA’s year-end session to decide on various matters to remove institutional and policy bottlenecks

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said the upcoming NA session will discuss and resolve a number of matters to promptly untangle knots in terms of institutions and policies in order to unleash resources to spur national socio-economic development, and ensure national defense-security and people’s living standards.

Chairman Man was speaking in Hanoi on Tuesday while co-chairing with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh a conference to discuss preparations for the year-end session of the legislature, scheduled to open next Monday.

He emphasized that if the Government is able to finalize the necessary documents in time, drug prevention programs, the transnational high-speed railroad, or Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road 4 will be added to the session's agenda.

PM Chinh said a record number of draft laws since the beginning of the tenure will be submitted to the upcoming NA session.

The Government is making an all-out effort to finalize draft laws to be submitted to the NA in order to promptly address difficulties and obstacles and unlock all resources for socio-economic development, according to the PM.

“In the spirit of ‘Only action, no retreat’ and given the current state of the country, we must work harder and be more proactive and resolute to drive the country forward,” he said. 

According to Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Tran Van Son, the year-end NA session will focus on law-building, socio-economic development, the state budget, and personnel affairs.
