National Boundary Commission protests China’s violation of Vietnam sovereignty

(VOVworld) - Vietnam has sufficient legal and historical evidence affirming its sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos. A representative from the National Boundary Commission said on Tuesday that Vietnam once again rejects the so-called “Sansha” city and demands China to end violations of its sovereignty, and take no action to hinder the legal fishing activities of Vietnamese fishing boats and fishermen, the official said. China recently approved the establishment of the “Sansha” radio-television and the “Sansha” satellite television stations and dispatched a China Marine Surveillance fleet No 83, vessels No 262 and 263 and helicopter B 7103 to patrol Vietnam’s Hoang Sa archipelago and chase away two Vietnamese fishing boats QNg96417TS and QNg96382TS which were conducting legal fishing activities in the area.  Most recently, China sent a Fishery Resource and Environmental Science Survey Ship, Nan Feng, to the waters of Vietnam’s Truong Sa archipelago to investigate the area’s fishery resources.  The representative said that these activities have violated Vietnam’s sovereignty.
