Nguyen Que Lam, deputy head of the Steering Committee for External Information Service, said the contest entries convey to international friends Vietnam’s foreign policy of independence and self-reliance, while demonstrating its friendliness and readiness for integration, multilateralization, and diversification in foreign affairs.

“It’s a journalistic contest and also a forum for those who love and support Vietnam to creatively share its image, values, and intellect with the world,” said Lam, adding, “The contest has covered all major events and achievements in Vietnam’s politics, external relations, and culture. The policies and guidelines of the Party and State and prioritized development activities in the current period have also been covered.”

This year the priority topics were science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, green transformation, and the circular economy, Lam noted.

This year’s organizers received 1,300 entries in 10 categories, submitted in English, French, Spanish, and a few even in Arabic, Uzbek, and Sinhala of Sri Lanka.
