National Press Award's entries vividly report on happenings in the country

(VOVWORLD) -Entries to the National Press Awards 2021 vividly reported on the country's major political events and the COVID-19 pandemic last year, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi said.

He told a press conference on Friday in Hanoi that winners of the 16th National Press Awards will be announced at the Hanoi Friendship Cultural Palace on Tuesday, June 21, the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

“Many entries and winning works covered the COVID-19 topic. Another important topic is effort to recover socio-economy after the pandemic, especially in the last months of 2021,” Loi said. 

The organizers received nearly 2,000 entries, which were shortlisted to 152 finalists. They have voted and selected 10 A prizes, 22 B prizes, 48 C prizes, and 35 Consolation prizes.
