National Wage Council makes its debut

(VOVworld) – The National Wage Council made its debut in Hanoi on Tuesday. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh said the council will consult the government on salary reform in conformity with market developments and the country’s international integration process.

The council will also research and propose to the government the minimum wage to be applied on specific regions and professions. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh said: “Members of the council should have a high sense of responsibility and work closely together to ensure their effectiveness. The council by the end of the year should propose a minimum wage for specific regions for next year. The relevant agencies and organizations should coordinate with the council in this process.”
