Mayor Le Hoang Quan meets foreign representatives

(VOVworld) - The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee hosted a New Year meeting of representatives of foreign agencies, international organizations, and foreign business associations. Last year, Ho Chi Minh city received 167 international delegations and 5 foreign naval vessels. The municipal People’s Committee’s Chairman Le Hoang Quan said: "This year, Vietnam will have many activities to mark the establishment of diplomatic ties with 23 countries. I believe the local authority’s determination and support of international friends will help Ho Chi Minh city reinforce and build good relations between countries for peace, cooperation and development".

German Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Conrad Cappell congratulated the city on the achievements it has attained despite the global economic recession. He said he believes that HCM City will continue to grow, maintaining its status as the main economic hub of Vietnam.
