US President Barack Obama on Wednesday begins his 4-day tour of the Middle East, including Israel, Palestine and Jordan. This is the first time Obama has visited Israel as US President. He will discuss with the Israeli leaders major issues of the region: Iran’s controversial nuclear program and the Syrian crisis. Ahead of his departure, the US President sent messages urging Iran to take steps to ease the tension around its nuclear program. After Israel, Obama will visit Palestine's West Bank before heading to Jordan to hold talks with King Abdullah II. On Saturday he will return to Jerusalem to push for the resumption of Middle East peace talks. One day before Obama's trip, US Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Israel to discuss major agenda of the President's visit.
