(VOVworld) – 139 outstanding workers nationwide today/on Friday received the 2^nd Nguyen Duc Canh awards in recognition of their efforts in production and their contributions to economic development. During a meeting with these honorees, Politburo member and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, Le Hong Anh, spoke highly of the patriotic emulation movement launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, saying that the Party and State will always facilitate the workers’ creativity and desires.

He spoke at the meeting: "Each role model reflects an expression of love for the nation, Socialism, and the people. They are determined to enrich themselves and the country. They have shown their willingness to acquire advanced scientific and technological skills. With tireless spirit, they have overcome their difficulties to achieve high productivity and efficiency and have contributed to the successful implementation of the 11^th Party Congress’s Resolution".

Anh called on the Confederation to intensify their movement for patriotic emulation, protect workers’ legitimate rights and interests, and help them improve the living conditions of the people.
