At a meeting on Friday, representatives from the Ministries of Health, Information and Communications, and Science and Technology said that current COVID-19 prevention and control applications have not been effective as expected. They have caused a lot of confusion for the users and pandemic tracing activities.

Deputy Prime Minister Dam said: “We need to create a sole application which is most convenient for users based on personal information, address, telephone numbers, health conditions, and travel history. We agree to assign the Ministry of Public Security to use civil database to issue a QR code for every citizen.”
