Chairman Man was speaking during a meeting with the Vietnamese Embassy's staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Laos as part of his official visit to the neighboring country and attendance at the 45th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-45).

Mr. Man expressed his hope that the Vietnamese community will continue to strive further and make positive contributions to Laos’ economic development. He said he believes that the community will continue to grow, remain united, and stay connected to their homeland, while preserving and promoting the nation’s valuable traditions.

The top legislator emphasized that the Party, the State, and the National Assembly always create the best conditions for Vietnam's overseas representative agencies to operate effectively, contributing to national construction and defense.

“The Embassy should continue paying attention to the Vietnamese community in Laos, particularly to enhancing their legal status and preserving the Vietnamese language. We must establish schools and classes, and create community organizations for our people to connect, share experiences, and exchange information,” said Chairman Man.

On this occasion, Mr. Man presented 200 gift packages to Vietnamese people in Laos. The same day, the top legislator and his Lao counterpart Saysomphone Phomvihane cut the ribbon to inaugurate Holiday Inn & Suites Vientiane. This is the second international hotel that BIM Group of Vietnam has developed in Laos, following the success of Crowne Plaza Vientiane.
