Many voters expressed their agreement and support for the policy of streamlining the apparatus of Party and State agencies, calling it a historic mission to help improve the operational efficiency of state agencies and increase state budget resources for investment in development and implementation of social security and welfare policies.
General Secretary Lam affirmed that the entire political system is resolved to soon carry out a revolution in streamlining the apparatus to meet development requirements in the new period. He also said that there is currently no policy to merge provinces and cities across the country.
Asked about the resumption of investment policy of the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project after many years of pause, General Secretary Lam said safety is always the highest priority.
“We believe that safety for people is the highest requirement. We must choose the safest technology. Vietnam is behind so it has the right to choose the most advanced technology. We have also considered 10 disaster risks, including nuclear disasters, and this cannot be allowed to happen."
On Monday afternoon, the Party leader visited and gave gifts to a number of families of war invalids, people with meritorious services and disadvantaged families in Hung Yen city.
