Party General Secretary arrives in Sofia for official visit to Bulgaria
(VOVWORLD) -Party General Secretary To Lam, his spouse, and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived at Sofia International Airport on the evening of Wednesday, marking the start of their official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of President Rumen Radev.

Those welcoming the Party leader and his spouse at the airport were Atanas Zafirov, Chairman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party and Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria; Roussi Ivanov, Secretary for Foreign Affairs to the President; Vietnamese Ambassador to Bulgaria Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet; and Vietnamese community representatives in Bulgaria.

As one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam in 1950, Bulgaria has long maintained a friendship nurtured by generations of leaders and people of both nations. In August 1957, President Ho Chi Minh paid an official friendship visit to Bulgaria, laying the foundation for a strong and enduring partnership.
