Party leader meets with New Zealand prime minister
(VOVWORLD) -Party General Secretary To Lam on Wednesday received Christopher Luxon, Prime Minister and Leader of the National Party of New Zealand, who is on an official visit to Vietnam and attending the 2nd ASEAN Future Forum.

During their meeting in Hanoi, the General Secretary proposed that Vietnam and New Zealand continue to boost economic and trade cooperation and work on specific strategies to strengthen connections between the two economies.
He said New Zealand is becoming a trusted and popular place for Vietnamese students to choose to study and do research, adding that educational cooperation has been contributing to consolidating and deepening the friendship between the two peoples.
The Prime Minister emphasized that with its strengths, New Zealand wishes to work with and support Vietnam to achieve its socio-economic development goals.
The two leaders expressed agreement on directions for developing relations in the new period, believing that the new Comprehensive Strategic Partnership framework will bring great mutual benefits and contribute to peace and development of the region and the world.
