This is the first airport in Vietnam to implement 100% automation from aviation procedures, sending actions, and immigration procedures to boarding gates.

Senior Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thi Minh Loan, Head of Logistics of the Immigration Department, said this is an important step in the airport modernization process towards a smart terminal model.

The automatic control system will make it convenient for immigration actions, reduce congestion at the border gate, facilitate visitors in the entry and exit process and aim at the satisfaction of visitors entering or exiting Vietnam, Loan said.
