Party leader urges swift post-Tet action to meet socio-economic and political targets
(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary To Lam requested all agencies and localities to immediately get to work after the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, with a focus on completing the tasks set for February and the first quarter of 2025.

Chairing a conference reviewing the organization of Tet 2025, the Party leader emphasized the importance of a comprehensive evaluation of consumer demand and purchasing power during the Lunar New Year to develop production management solutions, market orientation, and domestic consumption stimulation strategies.
Focus should be placed on streamlining the political system to ensure that agencies, after restructuring, operate immediately without interruption, he stated, stressing the implementation of policies for those affected.
The Party chief requested thorough preparations for the National Assembly's session in February, especially regarding issues related to the restructuring of the political system and measures to remove institutional obstacles. He urged the acceleration of the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
Mr. Lam called for a strong effort to achieve GDP growth of over 8% this year, to create momentum for double-digit growth in the 2026-2030 period. He emphasized the need to immediately implement solutions for public investment disbursement and to address bottlenecks to promote socio-economic development.
