Party leader: Vietnam remains steadfast in pursuing socialism, renewal
(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary To Lam on Monday received delegations of leaders and representatives of political parties from Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Africa, who are in Vietnam to attend the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2).

Representatives of the political parties stressed that Vietnam has become a model of peace, development, social progress, and international solidarity. They expressed their wish to further strengthen traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with the Communist Party of Vietnam and deepen relations between states and peoples with Vietnam.

General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the Vietnamese Party, State, and people are working toward realizing strategic development goals by 2030 and 2045, affirming Vietnam’s steadfastness in pursuing the path of socialism and renewal, consistently upholding a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation development, diversification and multilateralization.

He reiterated that Vietnam is a friend, a reliable partner, and an active, responsible member of the international community, and that Vietnam always wishes to expand and deepen ties between political parties and foster mutual understanding, friendship, and cooperation with peoples worldwide.
