(VOVworld) - Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong on Wednesday had a working session with Bac Giang’s authorities on the implementation of the Party’s resolution on Party building.

During a fact-finding tour of Canh Thuy commune and Yen Dung district, Mr. Trong spoke highly of the localities’ efforts to restructure agricultural land to create large-scale rice fields toward successfully realizing the new rural development program.

Mr. Trong spotlighted the leadership role of party organizations at the grassroots level and party members’ roles in implementing programs of socio-economic development, poverty reduction, and sustainable development.

In the afternoon, the Party leader worked with key leaders of Bac Giang. He said the province should continue reforms and effective investment: "Bac Giang is strong in agriculture. It is necessary to develop commodity production and the processing industry as well as seek markets for products. Efforts should be made to boost the building of new rural areas, train the workforce, apply science and technology in production and develop industry selectively and sustainably."
