Party, State leaders attend reception marking Laos’ National Day

(VOVWORLD) - The Lao Embassy in Vietnam hosted a reception on Thursday to mark the 50th National Day of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (December 2).

The event was attended by Bui Thi Minh Hoai, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Nguyen Xuan Thang, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh; and many other Party and State leaders, along with representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations in Hanoi.

In her welcome remarks, Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh highlighted Laos’ remarkable achievements over nearly 40 years of reform - from political stability and improved social welfare to sustainable economic growth.

She affirmed that Laos-Vietnam relations continue to grow strongly, with comprehensive cooperation across key fields including politics, defense, security, economy, education, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.
