Party, State leaders visit and give Lunar New Year gifts to locals

(VOVWORLD) - On the occasion of the Year of Buffalo, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and donors on Thursday visited Can Giuoc district, Long An province, and presented 500 Tet gifts worth 21,000 USD to Vietnamese heroic mothers, heroes of the People's Armed Forces, families with meritorious services to the revolution, disadvantaged people and the security forces.

On the same day, Tran Quoc Vuong, former permanent member of the Party Secretariat and National Assembly deputy visited and presented Lunar New Year (Tet) gifts to the poor and policy beneficiaries of Yen Binh district, Yen Bai province.

He said caring for disadvantaged people is a major policy of the Party and State. He  asked the Party committees and authorities of Yen Bai province and Yen Binh district to ensure that everybody will have necessities for Tet.
