Phu Tho receives world recognition for Hung Kings worship
(VOV) – Preparation is underway in Phu Tho province for a ceremony to receive world heritage recognition for the practice of Hung Kings worship to be held on the death anniversary of the Hung Kings and the Hung Kings temple festival on the 10th day of the third lunar month.
The Management Board of the Hung Kings temple historical relic site and the province’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism set up sports and arts programs for this occasion. The provincial authorities also developed a plan to assure security for visitors. Nguyen Xuan Cac, Head of the Hung Kings temple historical relic site, said Nghia Linh mountain temples and the Hung Kings palace have been renovated to welcome visitors who come to pay tribute to the founders of the Vietnamese nation.
