PM concludes official visit to RoK

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrived in Hanoi on Wednesday night, concluding a 4-day official visit to the Republic of Korea (RoK).

Mr. Chinh engaged in 34 activities during the visit, including talks and meetings with his counterpart Han Duck-soo, President Yoon Seok Yeol and Speaker of the National Assembly Woo Won Shik.

He also had working sessions with executives of leading Korean firms such as Samsung, Hyundai, LG, POSCO, Daewoo E&C, GS Engineering & Construction, Hyosung, and Lotte.

During the visit, more than 40 cooperation agreements were signed and exchanged, covering a wide range of areas, such as digital transformation, renewable energy, green transition, climate change, and semiconductor.

Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son told the media that the Vietnamese and Korean leaders are committed to ensuring a substantive, effective, and long-term comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

Underlining economics as a key pillar in bilateral cooperation, both sides agreed to raise two-way trade to 100 billion USD by 2025 and 150 billion USD by 2030.

They pledged to enhance cooperation in building a stable core mineral supply chain to guarantee economic security. The leaders agreed to accelerate cooperation in human resource development, labor, culture, tourism, and education, Minister Son said.
