Hanoi needs to uphold its glorious tradition, use its potentials and advantages, make the most of opportunities, and mobilize resources to build and develop a cultural-civilized-modern capital, he said.

PM Chinh, who is the Chairman of the National Emulation and Commendation Council, underscored the need to inspire the trust, solidarity, consensus, and unanimity of Party members and citizens to serve the capital’s development.

He enumerated five key tasks for Hanoi to implement: closely follow the direction of the Party Central Committee; achieve the goals and tasks stated in the resolutions of the National Party Congress and the Hanoi Party Congress on developing Hanoi until 2030 with a vision to 2045; promote patriotic emulation movements and honor emulation movement role models; exploit strengths, potentials, advantages, and national and international resources to develop the capital city; and make the Red River Delta, the key economic region of the north, competitive regionally and globally, on a par with the capitals of more developed countries in the region.
