(VOVWORLD) -The leaders of Vietnam and China agreed to continue to concretize high-level common perceptions, especially the Vietnam-China Joint Statement on continuing to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and building the Vietnam-China Community with a Shared Future that carries strategic significance.

Their direction of "Six more" include higher political trust; more substantive defense and security cooperation; deeper substantive cooperation; stronger social foundation; closer multilateral coordination; and better controlled and resolved differences.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of China Xi Jinping in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Wednesday.
At the meeting, Mr. Xi affirmed that China values and considers relations with Vietnam as a priority in its overall neighborhood diplomacy. He reiterated support for Vietnam’s protection of national independence and dignity and steadfast support for Vietnam under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam to successfully build socialism suitable to the country's situation.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed that the two sides cooperate in building large, highly symbolic projects that are truly effective and sustainable. He stressed the need to accelerate transport infrastructure connection, especially railways, roads, and border gates and welcomed China’s high-quality investment in Vietnam. The Prime Minister suggested that China create favorable conditions for Vietnam's key agricultural products to enter the Chinese market, and facilitate Vietnamese goods to penetrate Central Asia and Europe through China.
He also proposed that the two sides examine and pilot cross-border economic cooperation zones, expand border economic cooperation, and build smart border gates.
Appreciating the cooperation proposals by Prime Minister Chinh, General Secretary and President Xi said that China wishes to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, promote the complementary and close geographical advantages between the two economies, and consider options for pilot implementation of cross-border economic zones. China is ready to expand imports of high-quality goods from Vietnam and support Chinese businesses to increase investment in Vietnam, especially in high-tech and emerging industries, he said.
