"There have been 240 new locally-transmitted infections in 10 cities and provinces since last Wednesday. During the 13th National Party Congress, local governments and the Health Ministry implemented timely measures to contain the new outbreak, including zoning, tracing, mass testing, and halting some activities. We have the situation under control," said PM Phuc at a monthly government meeting.

PM Phuc said Vietnam’s macro economy is stable, manufacturing has grown 22%, and export-import has increased 45%. The disbursement of public investment funds and the number of new businesses is growing. Mr. Phuc stressed the need to boost the domestic economy, the international economy through free trade agreements, and the digital economy.

“We need to create a larger investment environment to attract technology groups like Intel and Samsung," Mr. Phuc said, "We are not reversing our policies, but creating more favorable conditions for domestic and foreign investors. Scientific and technological advancement, creativity and innovation, and developing human resources are our key missions.”

PM Phuc asked agencies and localities to help disadvantaged people in remote areas enjoy a happy Lunar New Year.
