PM presents Tet gifts to ethnic people in Dak Nong

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has visited and presented 200 Tet gifts to the poor ethnic people and policy beneficiaries in Dak Song district, Dak Nong province.

The visit on Friday is part of the Prime Minister’s tour of the Central Highlands region. Extending his New Year greetings to local ethnic minorities, Mr. Phuc reiterated the Party and State policy of paying special attention to the disadvantaged people: “On behalf of the Party and State leaders, I convey the most sincere wishes to ethnic people in Dak Nong province, including those in Dak Song. Our spirit is that everybody will enjoy to a warm and economical Tet without food shortages. Local authorities should make sure that remote and disadvantaged areas will have sufficient items essential for Tet, the traditional Lunar New Year of Vietnam.”

The PM called on Dak Song district authorities to increase local budget collection and protect forests.

Earlier, the PM visited and presented Tet gifts to heroic Vietnamese mother Chau Thi Nghe, 94, in Duc An town, Dak Song district. On the occasion, the Central Committee of the Red Cross Society delivered 100 gifts to the poor and Agent Orange victims in the district.
