Speaking at a meeting of the State Steering Committee for national and key transport projects in Hanoi on Wednesday, he stressed that it is essential to stay on schedule, with determination to disburse 100% of public investment capital this year to support rapid and sustainable growth.

“Land clearance must be fully delegated to local authorities. Some were reluctant at first but later did it well. The earlier, the better. The spirit of self-reliance must be called upon,” said PM Chinh.

With less than four months left in the year, mounting workloads, and adverse weather conditions, the Prime Minister called for maximum efforts to meet deadlines, especially the targets of 3,000 km of expressways and 1,700 km of coastal roads, while ensuring that the Long Thanh International Airport project is basically completed within the year.
