PM urges swift action to restore services, livelihoods post-typhoon Bualoi
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called for priority to be given to searching for missing persons, treating the injured, cleaning schools and health facilities, as well as restoring essential services in the wake of deadly typhoon Bualoi.

Chairing a meeting in Hanoi on Friday on recovery efforts and preparations for the approaching typhoon Matmo, the PM also stressed the urgent need to resume production and business activities to support economic growth and stabilize livelihoods.
He noted that four consecutive storms struck Vietnam in September, with Bualoi the most devastating.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the storm left 66 people dead or missing and damaged or unroofed more than 172,000 houses. The total economic losses are estimated at over 600 million USD.
