(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Saturday visited Hoa Thinh commune, Dak Lak province, formerly known as Tay Hoa district in Phu Yen province, which suffered the most in the recent historic floods.

The Prime Minister and the Government delegation visited Phu Huu village, that was completely submerged during the peak days of the flood, and encouraged nine households whose houses were completely collapsed in the flood. He extended sympathy to, kindly asked about, and acknowledged the locals’ proposals, saying he would direct agencies from central to local levels to quickly restore housing for the people.
The Prime Minister also visited the functional forces, soldiers and police who are directly helping people overcome the consequences of the flood. He requested that units continue efforts to help people stabilize their lives soon.
On Saturday afternoon, at the headquarters of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired an online meeting with four provinces of Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong on natural disaster prevention and response.
