PM works with major foreign investors in Ba Ria-Vung Tau
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held meetings with representatives of three major foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises in Vietnam in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province on Thursday.

In his address, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Vietnam’s commitment to collaborating with businesses to address obstacles in a spirit of shared benefits and responsibilities. General Director of Long Son Petrochemical Company Limited Mr. Kulachet Dharachandra briefed the Prime Minister on the progress of its petrochemical complex project in Long Son commune, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
With a total investment of over 5 billion USD and a designed capacity of 1.4 million tons of petrochemical products, the project has now been completed and is in operation.
Prime Minister Chinh said relevant agencies would finalize procedures for the project expansion by next week.

Mr. Bae In Han, General Director of Hyosung Dong Nai and Hyosung’s highest representative in Vietnam, shared the Group’s plans to invest an additional 1.5 billion USD in Vietnam, focusing on building a biotechnology factory and a carbon fiber factory in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. The Prime Minister encouraged Hyosung to explore opportunities for producing biological materials in Vietnam.

The same day, the Prime Minister received Mr. Walt Power, General Director of Ho Tram Project Company Limited, who provided updates on the company’s efforts to develop a connecting road from Long Thanh International Airport to the Ho Tram project in Xuyen Moc district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urged the company to promptly inform the US government of the positive progress in resolving difficulties and advancing the Ho Tram project, as well as other US investment initiatives in Vietnam.
