Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasised that the Vietnam - Laos relationship is very special, and Vietnamese representative agencies and officials must thoroughly grasp the spirit of sincerity, trust, and openness in this relationship.

The same day Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited Unitel Company in Laos. Over the past 15 years, Unitel has grown into a leading telecommunications and digital services provider, significantly influencing Laos' economy and society. The company has earned a strong reputation with the Lao Government and people.

Viettel's investment in Unitel is regarded as one of its most successful foreign ventures. This is reflected in remarkable achievements: Unitel operates the largest and most advanced network infrastructure in Laos, serving over 3.5 million customers, holding a 57% market share, with accumulated revenue nearing $2.4 billion and profits exceeding $876 million. It also contributes nearly $36 million annually to the Lao national budget.
