(VOVworld) – Poland on Wednesday kicked off the first large-scale and multi-service emergency drills with the participation of more than 3,000 people including rescue workers, firefighters, policemen, military, and border guards.
An air-freighter, two interceptors Mig-29, and a helicopter have been mobilized to join the maneuver.
A spokesperson for the campaign said this is an opportunity for Poland to practice skills to respond to illegal border infiltration. The spokesperson noted that the 3-day military drill is response to the turmoil in Ukraine.
