President Biden thanks Vietnam for its 'warm welcome'

(VOVWORLD) - US President Joe Biden has posted a thank message for the welcome he received in Vietnam and stressed that his just concluded State visit to Vietnam is “historic.”

In a Monday post on X, formerly known as Twitter, President Biden thanks President Vo Van Thuong for a productive meeting saying this partnership is about unleashing the two peoples' potential and a range of incredible possibilities.

In another post, he said that it was great sitting down with Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chinh of Vietnam in Hanoi. He wrote between the US‑Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and new Semiconductor Partnership, the future the two countries are writing together will be strong.

President Biden also published a photo of himself with Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and wrote that it was great to speak with the General Secretary, and Vietnam and the United States have an enormous opportunity to be critical partner, adding that the two can achieve the aspiration both countries share for a future of greater peace, security, and prosperity.

Another of his posts attached a photo of himself laying flowers at the memorial to late US Senator John McCain next to Truc Bach Lake in Hanoi.
