President chairs Judicial Reforms Committee

(VOV) – State President Truong Tan Sang today/ on Tuesday chaired the 7th session of the Central Judicial Reforms Committee.

The session put together ideas on the draft Politburo report on assigning training for staff in the judicial sector and personnel from the People’s Supreme Court and People’s Supreme Procuracy. The participants commented on the project to build Law Universities in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city.

President Sang stressed on the significance of establishing universities specifically for the legal sector in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city making them key centers for legal training. He added that during international integration, the two universities would improve the quality of training, especially in international law. Regarding the draft Politburo report on assigning training for judicial staffs, the President said it is necessary to assess current training practices and the demand from judicial staff before drawing a proper training program. The program of reforms until 2020 needs to be more practical, to improve the quality of the country’s judicial staff.
