Speaking to reporters ahead of the trip, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang said: "The President’s participation marks an important step in implementing the Party and State’s foreign policy and major strategic directions, particularly Resolution No. 59 of the Politburo on international integration in the new context. This reflects a strategic shift in Vietnam’s international integration mindset, from reception to contribution, from integration to full integration, and from the position of a latecomer economy to that of a rising and pioneering economy in emerging sectors."

During the event, President Luong Cuong and APEC leaders will discuss key regional and global cooperation and development issues, setting directions to promote trade, investment, connectivity, science and technology, green and digital transformation, and other vital areas.

The President will also hold bilateral meetings with leaders of APEC economies and executives of major global corporations. Notably, he will attend, engage in dialogue, and deliver a keynote address at the APEC CEO Summit 2025, which gathers nearly 2,000 business leaders from across the region. His remarks will deliver a strong message on Vietnam’s potential, competitive advantages, strategic decisions, and breakthrough initiatives.
