President meets leaders of countries at celebration of victory over fascism

(VOVWORLD) -During his attendance at the 80th anniversary of the world people's victory over fascism in China, President Luong Cuong met with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, First Secretary and President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, General Secretary and President of the DPRK Kim Jong Un, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Speaker of the Parliament of Timor Leste Maria Fernanda Lay, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, President of Kazakhstan Kassym Jomart Tokayev, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Congo Denis Sassou N’Guesso and President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa.

At the meetings, President Cuong conveyed the greetings and regards of Party General Secretary To Lam and other leaders of the Party, State and people of Vietnam.
He affirmed that Vietnam’s achievements could not have been achieved without the support and assistance of the leaders and people of friendly and fraternal countries. He expressed his confidence that Vietnam and other countries will continue to stand side by side for peace, stability, development and prosperity.
The foreign leaders congratulated Vietnam on its 80th anniversary of National Day September 2, affirmed the importance of friendly relations and good feelings with Vietnam, and expressed their desire to further cooperation with Vietnam.
