(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang will pay a state visit to Germany from November 24-26 at the invitation of German President Joachim Gauck.

The visit aims to improve the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership, which was established during German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s visit to Vietnam in 2011.
Mr. Sang’s visit will coincide with the 40^th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. In recent years, Germany has been one of Viet Nam's leading trade partners in the European Union. The two countries have worked positively at international forums including the UN, ASEM, and ASEAN-EU cooperative framework.
