(VOVworld) – The 10^th Vietnam Glory program under the theme “Transcending difficulties to advance” will take place on July 13. This is an annual event to honor 26 organizations and individual labor heroes, heroes of the armed forces, and role models with special achievements in patriotic and national defense emulation movements. As President of the Fund for the poor, people with disabilities, and orphans in Ben Tre province, Cam has raised over 5 million USD to provide free surgeries to 10,000 visually impaired people and 600 people with heart disease.

Another honoree is Le Van Duoc, a grade 9 student in Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province, who saved 5 children from drowning. Hoang Ngoc Thanh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, spoke at a press briefing on Wednesday: "The Vietnam Glory program commends labor heroes and heroes of the armed forces, particularly role models at the local level who have made practical contributions to national construction.
