At the meeting to foster SMEs’ innovation and global access in the digital era, Prime Minister Phuc said in APEC, small and medium-sized enterprises account for 97 percent of the total number of busineses, create 60 percent of jobs, and provide momentum for growth and innovation. Mr. Phuc said: “We hope to receive more cooperation with APEC members in enhancing the capacity of the tax system to encourage business production, equal and healthy competitiveness and prevent price hike and tax evasion by foreign investors. We also urge APEC senior officials to set up a support fund to encourage SMEs to connect with multinational corporations and join the global value chain”.
