Charing the event, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam ensured a safe and happy Lunar New Year festival in February.
PM Phuc said that thanks to the government’s resolute disease prevention measures of quick tracing and zoning, and the cooperation of local officials and the public, Vietnam’s third COVID-19 outbreak is now under control. The government has asked the Ministry of Health to rapidly import COVID-19 vaccines and start vaccinations this week.
Mr. Phuc asked sectors and businesses to step up production and trade to ensure Vietnam’s second main goal – socio-economic growth.
