Prime Minister inspects shipbuilding project in Quang Ninh
(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung inspected a project to build fisheries resources surveillance ships in Quang Ninh province on Wednesday.
Two ships are being built by Ha Long Shipbuilding Company. These patrol ships can operate for a long time at sea and are capable of conducting search and rescue activities at the same time. They will be tested and delivered by the middle of July.
Prime Minister Dung said that the Party and State had issued a resolution on Vietnam’s maritime strategy, which prioritized the development of the shipbuilding sector to meet current requirements. He asked the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation to restructure its organization and speed up its new projects. Prime Minister Dung also commented on the project to build iron-clad ships for fishermen.
