(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and his delegation joined many state leaders from other countries in ASEAN and the East Asia Summit (EAS) at the state funeral for former Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew on Sunday. In the funeral book, Prime Minister Dung extended his deepest condolences to the government and people of Singapore and to Lee Kuan Yew’s family. Later in the day, Prime Minister Dung had a brief talk with Singaporean President Tony Tan and leaders of ASEAN countries and other nations who were in Singapore for the funeral. Many Vietnamese officials, including Party General Secretary of the Party Central Commitee, Nguyen Phu Trong, President Truong Tan Sang, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, former President Le Duc Anh, and former General Secretary Do Muoi also sent condolences to Singapore’s leaders.
