Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung attends the World Economic Forum on East Asia

(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Thursday left Hanoi for Myanmar for the 22nd World Economic Forum (WEF) on East Asia 2013 at the invitation of the host country’s President Thein Sein and WEF Chairman Klaus Schwab.

Under the theme “Courageous Transformation for Inclusion and Integration”, the event attracts 450 delegates including politicians and representatives from international and domestic organizations. At the opening ceremony on Thursday, Prime Minister Dung is expected to deliver speech on emerging issues in the regional integration process. The Prime Minister and leaders of other countries will discuss main topics related to boosting Myanmar’s transformation, recognizing regional integration and scale of regional measures and dealing with global challenges. Vietnam’s participation in this prestigious economic forum has confirmed the country’s active international integration, raising the role, position and image of Vietnam in the region and promoting cooperation between Vietnam, the World Economic Forum and Myanmar.
